today was the last day. we got up at later and the was an optional ride. i did not ride and hang out with random people and packed. only half of the camp went on the ride. so after the ride we all took our stuff back down stairs. got ready to leave and one by one people left. i am now home. and i have doctors appointment tomorrow.

camp day 5
today we stared the day like all the rest. but today was like tuesday we rode all day. there were 4 two mile tts then were had lunch. after lunch we rode up the mountain to saluda it was a six mile climb. i was going so slow they pulled me. so i rode in the car with kieth and bob. then we had class it was just the announcements of who is going to canada. and a quick trivia game. then it was knock down i lasted to the last 3 in one round. then we had an race around an obstacle course. i got 2nd in most of my run including the running one. tomorrow is the last day with a morning ride with rusty. and we leave.

camp day 4 part two
i did do the afternoon ride it was one and half hour real easy. then we when and did coach eric's obstical course. after this it was dinner and class. then it was knock down in the first round i lasted to the last ten. then the rest of the rounds were rained out. i am felling a little bite better. i talked to coach eric and john they had me see a different side and what i need to do. tomorrow will be an all day ride with 4 two mile tts.

camp day 4
today we had an 8 mile tt from pumpkintown to marita. it was rolling i was the first man off and 12 people cought me. i throwup in the middle of it and it all when down hill from there. i think i am getting sick. i think i have chest infection because it i s hard to take deep breaths. ( i think i might have what JG has or had it depends on the day).

day 3 part 2
i just got the tt result and i am in last place in both. i guess i am not designed to go up hill. bot tommorow is the rolling or "flat tt" 8 miles. the class was on uci rules and regs. in knock down i took 4 people out at once. florida is one top with cody and criag winning rounds tonight.

day 3 of camp
today started like yesterday with rusty wake us up with cowbells and we had breakfast. today we stayed out on the road all day from 9 to 3 in the afternoon. we head 2 up hill tts 1 one mile and the other was 3 miles on ceaser head. then we had lunch at the top. this was my first real mountain climb. it took a lot out of me. the descent was fun. at the bottom we still had a two hoour ride back and this is were bad when top worse. whit 6 miles to go my leg just locked up but with the help of a pro name andy baker who ride for time factory team. he talk to me and push me up 3 hills back to campus and i will alway remember the pain of this day. the rest of the day there will be a class and knock down.

day 2 of camp
the second day was still easy. we did skills and drill in the morning. this consisted of spiriting between two rows of tennis balls and the there were water battle added for difficulty. then we when on to doing bike trowing and bunny hopping. the the next thing was the stearing and countstearing. then there was lunch the food here is great. Then there was two hour easy ride. at night we had class by usada on doping. after that we had knock down.

i am in the way to junior development camp and i am stuck with JOS. he is English and try to get me to drink tea and eat crumpets. he is a little immature and will not shut up. i know this week will tough but i will be watching him and telling him what to do. but it will be fun and a good learning experiences.

Du training
i did my second run in 4 mouths today and it hurt bad but i have not lose to much from. the only thing i have lost is the muscular endurance. i am helping on of my co works rustine train for a tri so he can beat dave sanborn. but he has a long way to go and so do i.

iowa races
I went to Iowa to Race the memorial day weekend which includes the brutal snake alley crit. I went out to Iowa with Diane and Michelle. we stated with Charley Harper. when we left Orlando it was 89 degrees and when we stepped off the plane in Moline it was 48 degrees. From the air port we when to Charley's bike shop. where i put my bike together and got it ready for the frist race on Friday the Wapello to mediapolis road race.

then on to wallpello to the start of the road race. in the road race i had to wear 5 numbers one on the bike and four on me.

now on to the race it was the 24 mile rolling race with a 25mph wind. we rolled out of wallpello at a slow speed it stated at this pace till the first hill then the attacks came fast and furious. i when up to the second group which was the main field and when we hit the top and when down this is were i was spun out for the first time but it started to go back up. so i was able to stay in the group. then after a couple of more of these we when parallel to the Mississippi river till we got with in 4 mile of the finish we stated to head back away from the river and it when up again but now with a tail and i was dropped on the down hill at 36mph. now i formed the second group on the road and i when to line with a group of 8 and finished second in this group and finish 24th over all.
Saturday is Snake Alley Crit.


this is the brutal climb of snake alley with 5 switch backs and average grade of 12%. the frist race of the day was the 10-14 junior race which Michelle finished 5th in.

now my race was the 15-18 junior race. it was 8 laps up the snake. in the field there were 50+ starters. they seeded the race by number so i started in the back row. i finished in 31st.




after the race we stayed and watch the rest of the races. including the cobble climb.


Sunday Melon City Crit
this race was in Muscatine so it was 3 mile away from Charley's house. the course was around weed park the back sight was down hill and had a speed bump at the bottom. the front sight was up hill and had a 120 degree turn.
my race was the first race of the day juniors 15-18 i was pulled due to not being able to climb the hill in the group.

then it was the mens cat 4 race was pulled with 4 laps to go i was droped on the down hill because i was spun out.
Michelle finished 4th in her junior 10-14 race.

Monday the quad cities crit ( aka the great quad cities cage race)
this course was a 8 turn and in the shape of a figure 8. the roads were lined with chicken wire.
the first race was michelle's 10-14 juniors race. she finishes in 3rd.

the second race of the day was my 15-18 junior race. i finished in 32nd.


the next race was Michelle's womens 4's race. she finished 14th.

then it was my cat 4 race. in a field of 70+ starters i finished in 39th place.


this weekend was fun and i gained alot of experience. i learned what i need to work on.
